The American Cancer Society announced Mrs. John A. Rudelitch, Lehighton R. 1, is the 1976 Cancer Crusade Chairperson for the Panther Valley- Carbon County Unit.

Robert Ames of Coaldale will co-chair the drive with her. It has a goal of $26,000.

The announcement was made during the local unit’s quarterly meeting held at Duffy’s Restaurant, Palmerton, with Jean Kistler, president, in charge.

In personnel matters, the board of directors accepted the resignation of Ms. Cynthia Rudelitch, executive director, who accepted a teaching position elsewhere in the state. William Rodgers of Palmerton and Mrs. Luther Smith of Lehighton R.D. were accepted as new members while resigning from the board were Paul Sheers of Coaldale and Harry Fettermen of Tamaqua,
