Fire companies from Monroe and Carbon counties responded Friday afternoon to a dwelling fire in Polk Township. The fire was reported around 3 p.m. in the 300 block of Beltzville Drive. The first fire official arriving on scene reported a working dwelling fire with flames and smoke showing. A quick response by area firefighters saved the home although it did sustain considerable interior damage. No injuries were reported in the incident.
