Zion Lewistown
Pastor Jim Williams will officiate the 10:30 a.m. service this Sunday at Zion Church in Lewistown Valley. Sunday school is at 9:30 a.m.
Zion Men will meet at 8 a.m. Saturday at Memorial Hall.
Calvary Lewistown
Pastor Kim Leskovich will bring a message of love for our children at the 10:30 a.m. Sunday service at Calvary Evangelical Church in Lewistown Valley. There will be special music. Sunday school for all ages will be at 9:15 a.m.
Don’t forget to bring soup to share. The collection wasn’t taken last week due to services being canceled because of the weather.
Wednesday evening group prayer will meet at 7 p.m.
St. Peter’s West Penn
The Sunday service at St. Peter’s Church in West Penn will be held at 9 a.m. followed by Sunday school at 10:15 a.m. and a church board meeting at 10:30 a.m. Girl Scouts meet at 6 p.m. Sunday.
On Feb. 27, the Cherub Choir rehearses at 6 p.m. followed by Senior Choir rehearsal at 7 p.m.
The March 2 service will have the Sacrament of Holy Communion followed by the annual congregational meeting.
Rummage sale
St. John UCC, 150 Pine St., Tamaqua, will hold a rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 5, and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on April 7.
There will be clothing, household items, toys, books, small appliances, decorations and more.
Rush-Ryan-Delano Seniors
The Rush, Ryan and Delano Senior Citizens met on Feb. 11 at Christ Church in Barnesville. President Robert Neifert opened the meeting with the Lord’s Prayer, Pledge of Allegiance and singing of “God Bless America.”
There were 29 members in attendance. The secretary and treasurer’s reports were accepted and the meeting was closed by two members.
Gift cards were won by a member, and refreshments were served. Each member received candy for Valentine’s Day. Four members will celebrate birthdays this month. A moment of silence was held for three members.
Bingo was played. The next meeting will be held at 1 p.m. on Feb. 25 at Christ Church, weather permitting.
