The Pleasant Valley School Board approved the following personnel items.

• Affiliation agreement — Western Governors University;

• Hiring of professional staff — Pace Abrams, biology teacher, PVHS, Step 2, $57,242, effective Feb. 18, replacing James Long; and Sakura Shinjo, French teacher, PVHS, Step 1, $66,842, replacing Cindy Siekonic;

• Intramural advisers — Steve Krechel, golf, PVHS; and Kyle DeVatt, football, PVMS;

• Volunteers — Klaudia Donaghy, Leah Freeman, Chad Heller, Samantha Heller, Vincent Rufo and Cybil Whitby.
