The Lansford Borough Council today is without a president, following a surprise move last night by John Krutsick.

Krutsick, a Republican, tendered is resignation as president because he claimed he was not notified of committee meetings. He said that as president he was a member of all committees. The Republican Party dominates Lansford council by a 7-2 margin.

Krutsick said he was not invited to sessions which led to the dismissal of a borough patrolman and added that names submitted for approval to the police commission were news to him.

The resignation came prior to the council’s adjournment and no move was made to name a successor.
