Mahoning Township supervisors took the following action last week:
• Approved the Starbucks letter of credit (LTL Consultants letter dated Feb. 7 recommended full release of security in the amount of $106,316).
• Approved a resolution for the Dollar General deed of dedication as part of the right of way for Twin Hill Drive.
• Approved a proposal from Watkins Architect for roof replacement and dehumidification system.
• Tabled a generator maintenance proposal for the township’s municipal building.
• Tabled the Blue Ridge Cable Franchise Agreement 10-year renewal.
• Appointed LTL Consultants, Stephen Wanner, as zoning officer.
• Appointed LTL Consultants as building code official.
• Appointed Matt Schnell, Strubinger Law Office, as solicitor for the zoning hearing board.
• Tabled the appointment of a chairman to a one-year term on the vacancy board.
• Tabled the DUI trailer donation.
• Tabled bodycam usage for the police department.
• Approved the nonuniform pension plan adoption agreement. This has previously been done in 2020.
• Approved Earned Income Tax volunteer credit certifications for 2024 for 15 Mahoning Valley Fire Department members and two Mahoning Valley Ambulance members.
• Approved a resolution for tax collector increase of commission 4% discount and base 5% penalty.
