A large-scale drug investigation conducted by the Allentown Police Department and the Lehigh County Drug Task Force, in conjunction with the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office, resulted yesterday in the arrest of Colton K. Nace, 34, of Allentown, and the seizure of drugs and a gun at two homes in that city.
District Attorney Gavin P. Holihan and Allentown Police Chief Charles Roca announced the arrest that came as part of the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area initiative, saying Nace was charged with four counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver (methamphetamine, marijuana, cocaine and fentanyl); four counts of simple possession of a controlled substance, person not to possess a firearm, possession of drug paraphernalia and criminal use of a communications facility.
The district attorney said officers involved included Lehigh County Drug Task Force Detective Ryan Murray and Allentown Police detectives Jared Bulger and Robert Busch. He said the officers executed search warrants at homes located at 726 Hanover Ave. and 2001 Hall St., resulting in the seizure of the drugs and gun at the Hall Street address.
Seized were 15.4 pounds of methamphetamines, three pounds of marijuana, 270 grams of methamphetamine powder, 20 grams of fentanyl, 45 methamphetamine pills, 34 ecstasy pills, a semi-automatic handgun, more than $7,000 in cash and drug-packaging material.
Holihan said Nace is in custody and is awaiting arraignment.
