Summit Hill man facing child pornography charges

A Summit Hill man faces child pornography charges after agents from the state Attorney General’s Office found various videos containing images of child sexual abuse.

John Jasinsky, 33, of East White Street, was arraigned Thursday by District Judge Beth Dodson on six counts of child pornography and one count of criminal use of a communication facility.

He was jailed in the Carbon County Correctional Facility in Nesquehoning in lieu of $250,000. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 9.

According to arrest papers, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received a CyberTip report from Synchronoss Technologic Inc., showing a mobile phone number uploaded two suspected child sexual abuse materials in September.

The files showed an adult female performing oral sex on a male toddler, and another file contained seven video clips showing girls performing oral sex on other children, as well as men, according to court papers.

The video files show children under the age of 18 in engaged in sexual acts believed to be child pornography, the arrest papers state.

Agents traced the IP address to PenTeleData, and got a subpoena for the subscriber information that came back with Jasinsky’s address in Summit Hill. Agents also submitted a search warrant to Synchronoss through email for the mobile phone number.

Agents found additional files involving inappropriate touching between children and adults.

Agents along with local law enforcement executed a search warrant on Jasinsky’s East White Street home Thursday. Jasinsky was at the home, and transported to the Summit Hill Police Department to speak to agents.

Jasinsky admitted to viewing child pornography and also viewing, saving and sharing on the application “Mega.” He said that he searched the term “cp” for child pornography, court papers said.

He also read the search warrant and admitted to seeing both videos that were sent from the CyberTip.

A computer forensic special agent conducted a preliminary forensic analysis and found about four videos depicting child pornography on Jasinsky’s notebook, and the video provided to CyberTip.
