Area college students achieved honors for the fall 2024 semester.

They include:

• Cian McLaughlin of Tamaqua, a sophomore majoring in data science, was named to University of Tampa’s dean’s list for the fall 2024 semester. Students must maintain a grade-point average of 3.75 or higher to be eligible for the dean’s list.

The University of Tampa is a private university with about 200 programs of study and serves more than 11,000 students from 50 states and most of the world’s countries.

• Ethan Jones of Palmerton earned the distinction of faculty honors for fall 2024 at the Georgia Institute of Technology. The designation is awarded to undergraduate students who have earned a 4.0 academic average for the semester.

• Oluwafeola Olaniyan of Brodheadsville earned the distinction of dean’s list for fall 2024. The designation is awarded to undergraduate students who have earned a 3.0 or higher academic average for the semester.
