Turnpike Incidents

State police at the Pocono barracks reported the following incidents that occurred on the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike:

• Police said four pallets of beef valued at $5,000 were stolen in an incident that was reported at 2 a.m. Jan. 7.

It occurred at mile marker 56 in Upper Macungie Township.

Police said someone broke into the trailer of a 2023 Peterbilt that was parked at the Allentown Service Plaza and stole the meat. Police listed the victim as Hurricane Express Leasing, West Siloam Springs, Oklahoma.

• Police responded to a criminal mischief incident at mile marker 86.2 in Penn Forest Township.

They said that between 8 a.m. Jan. 28 and 7 a.m. Jan. 29, someone cut the security tie off the rear of a 2022 Dennison utility trailer owned by TD Equipment Finance Canada, Oakville, Ontario.

Police said nothing was determined to be missing from the trailer.

• A second criminal mischief incident occurred at the same location between 8 p.m. Jan. 27 and 3 a.m. Jan. 29, police said.

Police said the security tie on a 2019 Carson utility trailer was cut, but nothing was taken form the trailer.

The victim in the incident was listed as Dhaliwal Brothers Carrier Inc., Madera, California.
