A Lehighton woman has died following a crash Friday morning on Route 309 in West Penn Township.

Schuylkill County Coroner David J. Moylan said the woman, 30, died in the crash that occurred on the Blue Mountain.

Moylan said he could not release the name of the woman, and that state police were going to make the notification to the family.

Moylan added they will do a post-mortem CT scan at the Schuylkill County Forensics Center.

The crash was reported at 6:20 a.m.
