No one was injured in a two-vehicle crash at 8:25 a.m. Jan. 15 at mile marker 86.3 southbound on the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike, state police at the Pocono barracks said.

The crash in Penn Forest Township occurred when Albert M. Abuchaibe, 38, of Wyalusing, driving a 2018 Nissan Sentra, rear-ended a 2010 Kenworth tractor-trailer operated by Nicholas W. Davison, 30, of Kirkland, Illinois, according to police.

After the crash, the rig pulled onto the right shoulder of the road while Abuchaibe got out of the Sentra and ran toward the Hickory Run Service Plaza and did not return to the scene, police said.

He was identified a short time later, police said, and was cited.
