Frank Hager was elected president of the board of trustees of the Palmerton Hospital during its recent annual meeting.

He will be joined in directing its operations by Charles Campton, vice president; Fred Reinhard, secretary; Eileen Thompson, assistant secretary; Alex Kaslik, treasurer; and Joseph Lendvay, assistant treasurer.

Kaslik, Lendvay and E.S.P. Cope, M.D., were elected to three-year terms as trustees.

During the meeting, the board accepted a $55,000 check as part of a $200,000 commitment from the Palmerton Hospital Foundation.

The hospital officials plan to renovate and enlarge the intensive care, coronary care and short procedure units at the facility at an estimated $4.9-million.
