The Panther Valley School Board took action on a handful of business items at a special meeting Monday night.
They included the board approving:
• Hiring Keith Degler as accounts receivable and tax clerk at rate of $18.10 per hour, which will increase to the contracted rate of $19.10.
• Robert Palazzo, Janet Fisher, Paula Jones and Lisa Mace to attend the state Department of Education Data Summit from March 24 to 26 in Hershey. The total cost is $2,576.
• Three-credit courses for Joseph Damiano, Sarah-Mary Smith and Nathaniel Seals.
• Marta McLaughlin as a homebound instruction for 2024-25.
• A dual enrollment agreement between Lackawanna College and the Panther Valley Junior-Senior High School for 2024-25.
• Placing Kimberly Bayer, a junior-senior high school teacher, in the master’s degree column of the union pay scale. She has completed the requirements and submitted documentation.
• An unpaid medical leave for an employee from Feb. 26 to April 10.
