One person was injured Friday night in a hit-and-run crash in Mahoning Township.
The accident occurred just after 7 p.m. at the intersection of Route 443 and Gilberts Hill road.
A car with heavy damage was sitting on Gilberts Hill road.
The driver was being evaluated by members of the Mahoning Valley ambulance.
A third party called in the accident and reported the offender fled the scene and was traveling west on Route 443. The witness followed the offender, reporting the vehicle turned at Normal Square and was traveling north on Route 902.
The vehicle became disabled near the border of Mahoning Township and Summit Hill on Bugzies Mountain. Police from Mahoning township and Summit Hill responded.
The Mahoning Valley fire company responded, clearing debris off the roadway and maintaining traffic control at the scene.
