A 14-year-old boy from Northampton, who is a student at the Ashfield Academy School, West Lizard Creek Road, East Township, has been charged with harassment by physical altercation.

State police at Lehighton were called to the school at 12:38 p.m. on Jan. 28.

Police said they were informed the boy struck several staff members and broke a few items inside the facility.

They said two of the three staff members refused to press charges against the boy.
