A man died in a two-vehicle crash at 8:06 p.m. Tuesday in the area of Route 100 and Schaefer Run Road in Upper Macungie Township.

Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio said the man, who has been tentatively identified, was a passenger in a motor vehicle that collided with a tractor-trailer.

He said an autopsy was scheduled to be performed today at the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office and Forensic Center to determine the cause of death.

Buglio said his office staff is actively working to confirm the identification of the man in order to notify next-of-kin.

The township’s police department and the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office is investigating the crash with the coroner.
