The resignations of three full-time correctional officers at the Carbon County Prison were accepted by the county commissioners during yesterday’s meeting.

Ronald S. Kokinda of Beaver Meadows and Anthony J. Petrucci and Ronald Blum, both of Jim Thorpe, tendered their resignations, and were replaced by Clifford J. Knappenberger and James E. Youngkin, both of Jim Thorpe, and Warren E. Long Jr. of Lehighton.

Kokinda resigned to accept new duties with the county’s Adult Probation and Parole Department while the other two departing employees will be returning to employment with the Bethlehem Steel Corporation.
