The Tamaqua girls basketball program reached a milestone on Monday, earning the 700th win in its history.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Tamaqua-Minersville

Tamaqua gained the 700th win in school history with a 47-19 rout of Minersville in Schuylkill League play.

Tamaqua’s booster club also honored the family of late state trooper Peter Conforti, making a large donation to his wife and son.

Lauren Ligenza scored a game-high 14 points for the Blue Raiders, who took control with a 17-2 second quarter.

The winners also received 11 points from Kendle Miller, while Emma Troutman topped Minersville with five.

Marian jumped out to a 22-5 lead after one quarter and never looked back as it defeated Tri-Valley 52-21 in Schuylkill League play.

Three players finished in double figures for the Fillies, including Addy Fritz with a team-high 17 points. Deanna Pugh contributed 16, while Addy Marek added 12.

Faith Artz led the Bulldogs in scoring with 12 points.

Jim Thorpe-Lehighton

Lehighton inched closer to clinching a district playoff berth with a 41-25 victory over Jim Thorpe.

Leah Uyvari scored a game-high 14 points for the Indians, who need one win in their final two league games to reach the postseason. Lehighton, which used a 12-2 second quarter to take the lead, also received 11 points from Emma Repsher.

For Thorpe, Brooklyn Yuhas tallied a team-high eight points.

Tegan Simms poured in a game-high 26 points to help power Northern Lehigh to a 60-17 Colonial League victory over Palisades.

The Bulldogs, who have won 10 of their last 12 games, also received 19 points from Katelynn Barthold. The winners led 19-3 after the first quarter.

Brooklynn Lucas topped the Pirates with six points.

Twelve different players scored for Northwestern, as the Tigers rolled to an 81-17 Colonial League victory over Moravian Academy.

Cara Thomas tallied all of her game-high 26 points in the first half as the winners, who remained undefeated in league play, raced to a 55-6 halftime lead.

Paige Bissell added 13 points to the Northwestern cause, while Olivia Reinhart chipped in with eight.

The Lions received a team-high 12 points from Grayson Domzalski.

Morgan Orsulak paced the Panthers with 13 points and five rebounds.

Northwestern-Moravian Ac.

Northwestern put up 34 points in the first quarter to grab an early lead and eventually cruised to a 70-52 Colonial League win over Moravian Academy.

The Tigers spread the scoring around with four double-digit scorers, including Gavin Nelson with 14 points, Eli Zimmerman and Mason Bollinger with 12 each, and Cannon Fitch with 11.

Samuel Joseph tallied a team-leading 20 points for the Lions, which included five three-pointers.

Ian McKeegan led the Wreckers with 25 points, while Niko Saldukas finished right behind his teammate with 24.

Zeki Boyunegmez registered 10 points to lead the Quakers.

Blake Oglialoro led all scorers with 27 points, Lincoln Cook and Will Anderson each had 14, and Jack Trickle chipped in with 10 for the Pirates.

Dare-Rious Smith had 17 points to pace the Bulldogs, while Kellen Bauer added 16.

Cooper Lynn led the Panthers with 14 points, while Noah Seifert added eight.

Ballciio led the Spartans with 10.

8th Grade

Panther Vy.-N. Schuylkill

North Schuylkill defeated Panther Valley 47-30.

Sweeney led the Spartans with 15 points, while Corrigan Crampsie finished with a PV high of nine points.

Weatherly-Marian

Weatherly gained a 35-28 victory over Marian.

The Wreckers received 12 points from Carter Minnick and nine from Wyatt Kokinda.

The Colts picked up 19 points from Brody Pieser and nine from Mike Lee.

7th/8th Grade

Panther Valley-Nativity

Nativity gained a 44-37 victory over Panther Valley.

Corrigan Crampsie and Mikey Demyanovich both scored six points to lead the Panthers.

Hascin topped the winners with 13.

Panther Valley-Minersville

Isa Gjoca poured in 15 points to help Panther Valley post a 52-22 win over Minersville.

PV also received 14 points from Jayden Honshiko and 10 from Corrigan Crampsie.

Zaharis paced the Miners with 14.
