The Blue Raiders, coached by Ed Wise, use six points from both Rob Hollenbach and Bob Kalish to gain an eight-point first quarter lead. Tamaqua doubles the advantage by halftime, thanks in part to five second-period points from John Woodring. Wishousky’s dozen and Ray Kinder’s 10 points in a 35-point third frame seals the win. Kinder ends with 16 points and 10 rebounds, while Woodring also adds a double-double with 12 points and 11 boards. For Thorpe, Jeff Hydro collects a game-high 19 points.
