Turnpike incidents
State police at the Pocono barracks reported the following incidents that happened on the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike:
• Reina Rivera, 25, of West Lawn, is facing theft of services charges after police made a traffic stop of a 2016 Mercedes-Benz she was driving at mile marker 68.8 in Washington Township at 1:15 p.m. Dec. 17.
Police said they stopped the vehicle for an expired registration, after which they learned the car displayed fictitious emission and inspection stickers and the registration was suspended for unpaid tolls using the toll by plate system. Police said it was also determined through a collection of records that Rivera was using three different license plates issued to the same vehicle and that as each license plate was suspended or seized, the suspect would apply for a new license plate.
Police said Rivera had not paid any fees associated with the toll by plate system, resulting in the theft of services charges. She was also charged for driving with a suspended operator’s license and unauthorized use of registration plates.
Victims in the case are the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission and Touba Collision Center, Reading, police said.
• The driver of a 2014 Nissan Altima that was stopped for speeding is facing charges of violating Title 75, police said.
Dafne Barra Fonseca of Philadelphia was stopped at mile marker 93.5 in Kidder Township at 8:01 a.m. Jan. 16, police said, after she was clocked traveling 92 mph in a 70 mph zone.
After the stop, police said they discovered the car displayed annual emissions and inspection stickers that were determined to be fraudulent.
Victims in the case are McKonly’s Garage, Lancaster, and Bender’s Auto Service and Repair, Altoona, police said.
• Jonathan Rodriguez, 22, of Camden, New Jersey, is facing charges of possession of a controlled substance after police made a traffic stop at 4:30 p.m. Jan. 21.

Police said they found him to be in possession of marijuana.
