A Pike County-based magisterial district judge has been charged with indecent assault, disorderly conduct and harassment regarding an incident last summer at a Milford-area barbershop, Attorney General Dave Sunday announced Friday.
Paul Menditto, 70, of Bushkill, was charged Friday with one misdemeanor count of indecent assault and two summary counts regarding the assault of an employee of the shop. He was released on his own recognizance.
“The alleged conduct is egregious and unlawful for anyone — let alone a sworn officer of the court who presides over criminal matters,” Sunday said. “No one should go to work fearing they will be harassed and assaulted while on the job.”
The investigation revealed that Menditto was in the barbershop on Aug. 2, 2024, for a haircut when he allegedly kissed a female employee on the neck without her consent. The incident was witnessed by several people in the shop.
The case is being prosecuted by Deputy Attorney General Rachael Coleman.
