The first set of Times News mat rankings for the 2024-25 season are here for both boys and girls.

Factors taken into consideration for the rankings are quality of competition (for wins and losses) and head-to-head results.

As with the stacked and star-studded girls event this past weekend, the annual boys Coal Cracker Tournament at Lehighton this Friday and Saturday should be a great test for area teams against some elite competition.

In addition to the host Indians, Jim Thorpe, Northwestern, Palmerton, Panther Valley, Pleasant Valley and Tamaqua are among the squads scheduled to attend.
