Pleasant Valley approves personnel items
The Pleasant Valley School Board approved the following items during their meeting on Thursday evening.
• Affiliation agreement with Liberty University.
• Change to assignment long-term substitute — Lance Soodeen, science teacher, PVHS, Step 1, $52,642, effective Jan. 21 to the end of the school year.
• Intramural advisers — Kristen Ferris, volleyball, PVMS, Feb. 3 to March; Arianna Weaver and Katie Frankunas, co-advisers, volleyball; volunteers for volleyball, Drew Dymond, Joseph Akob, John Gesiskie and Kathleen Gesiskie, March 10 to May 29, PVMS and PVHS.
• Resignation — Deborah Rivera, long-term substitute, Grade 6, PVMS, effective Jan. 24.
• Hiring of professional staff long-term substitute — Logan Dickman, Grade 6, PVMS, Step 1, $52,642, effective Jan. 27 to May 23.
• Supplemental athletic contracts — Sandra Hughes-Green, girls lacrosse, junior high assistant, $2,800; Nicole Secara, softball, junior varsity assistant, $2,332 (split stipend); and Tristan Dorn, boys lacrosse, junior high assistant, $2,842.
• Supplemental nonathletic contracts — Brian Morgan, the School Counseling Department chair 6 to 12 grade adviser, from Aug. 23, 2024 to Jan. 10, salary of $1,348.50; Payton Gregory, School Counseling Department chair 6-12 adviser, from Jan. 13 to end of this school year, $1,470.82; after-school tutor, Amy Hetherington, PVMS, $35 per hour.
• Volunteers — Angela Bond.
