State police at the Lehighton barracks reported the following incidents: • A 49-year-old Jim Thorpe man was cited for harassment by physical contact after police were called to an incident on Bearview Drive, Penn Forest Township, at 11:54 p.m. Jan. 20.

Police said a 50-year-old woman from Jim Thorpe reported that the man physically assaulted her within their common residence.

• A 23-year-old Wind Gap man is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance after police made a traffic stop at 3:20 a.m. Jan. 19.

He was stopped in a 2008 Ford Expedition on Bonser Road, Chestnuthill Township, for a Motor Vehicle Code violation.

• Joseph Downey, 43, of Kunkletown, was cited for harassment by physical contact after police responded to a domestic incident at 8:48 p.m. Jan. 17 at a property on Sky View Drive, Eldred Township.

Police said the 67-year-old man from Kunkletown who reported the incident said it started as a verbal altercation but escalated to a physical confrontation.
