A Palmerton man has been charged for a road rage incident that occurred in Lynn Township in November.
State police from the Fogelsville barracks responded around 10:20 p.m. Nov. 11 to the report of a vehicle being shot while traveling south on the 5600 block of Schochary Road.
Police determined that John C. Miles, fired two rounds from his SUV, later determined to be from a .380 handgun, at another vehicle, with one round striking the bed of the other driver’s pickup.
Miles was charged Wednesday with aggravated assault, discharge of a firearm into occupied structure, simple assault, terroristic threats and reckless endangerment.
Bail for Miles was set at $150,000.
Assisting with the investigation were the Pennsylvania State Police Troop M Forensic Service Unit, Palmerton Police Department, Carbon County District Attorney’s Office and Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office.
