State police at Bethlehem - crashes
State police at the Bethlehem barracks reported the following crashes:
• Kory M. Tetreault, 27, of Lehighton, had minor injuries in a one-vehicle crash at 2:04 p.m. Jan. 18 on Route 873 in Washington Township.
Tetreault was driving a 2007 Pontiac northbound when it left the roadway and struck a wooden fence on the shoulder of the road before traveling down a hill and hitting bushes on a private residence, police said.
He was cited after the crash, according to police.
• Devlin S. Lord, 24, of Lehighton, was cited after a one-vehicle crash at 9:14 a.m. Jan. 6 on Mountain Road in Washington Township. He was uninjured in the incident.
Police said he was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Suburban east during a snowstorm and was traveling too fast for conditions when he experienced locking brakes on the vehicle. Police said the Suburban left the road and struck a tree. It was towed from the scene.
• Emily R. Tweed, 24, of Schnecksville, was after a one-vehicle crash at 4:55 p.m. Jan. 16 on Route 309 in North Whitehall Township. She was uninjured in the incident.
Police said she was driving a 2016 Toyota Corolla southbound and was traveling too fast for conditions when the car lost traction due to snow, slid off the roadway and struck a utility pole. The car was towed from the scene, police said.
• Kyle L. Stepp, 30, of Palmerton, was cited after a one-vehicle crash at 10:24 a.m. Jan. 6 on Kernsville Road in Lowhill Township. He was uninjured in the incident.
Police said he was driving a 1990 Ford westbound when he failed to maintain a safe speed and lost control of the vehicle, which veered off the roadway and struck an embankment.
• Josue Sagastumepinto, 22, of Woodbury, New Jersey, was cited after a one-vehicle crash at 11 a.m. Jan. 6 on Route 873 in Washington Township. He was uninjured in the incident.
Police said he was driving a 2018 Honda Civic northbound when he failed to maintain a safe speed and lost control of the vehicle, which veered off the roadway and struck a utility pole. It continued off the roadway and hit a second pole.
The Civic was towed from the scene.
• No one was injured in a two-vehicle crash at 10:05 a.m. Dec. 25 on Route 145 in North Whitehall Township.
Police said the crash occurred when Mark S. Stauffer, 80, of Laurys Station, driving a 2011 Nissan Juke northbound, turned in front of a 2000 Toyota Corolla driven by Damian J. Beard, 18, of Allentown, who had the right of way, causing the collision. They said both vehicles were towed from the scene.
Police said Stauffer was issued a warning after the crash.
