Tamaqua received wins from both its swim teams, as well as its girls basketball squad, on Tuesday.

Northern Lehigh also was successful in both boys and girls basketball action.

Tamaqua-Blue Mtn.

Millie Black recorded a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds, and Lauren Ligenza finished with a team-high 12 points to help Tamaqua top Blue Mountain, 35-23, in Schuylkill League action.

Makayla Keck led Blue Mountain with 12 points.

Addy Fritz connected on seven three-pointers during Marian’s 62-29 Schuylkill League victory over Mahanoy Area.

Fritz finished with a game-high 25 points for the Fillies, who jumped out to a 23-7 first-quarter lead.

The winners, still undefeated in the league, also received 12 points from both Deanna Pugh and Addy Marek, while Olivia Serfass added 11.

Felicia Bro paced the Golden Bears with 10 points.

Logan Fisher and Danny Wehr both registered double-doubles to help Panther Valley earn a 65-50 Schuylkill League victory over host Pine Grove.

Fisher scored a game-high 18 points and pulled down 13 rebounds, while Wehr collected 11 points and 11 boards.

The Panthers — who moved within one win of clinching a district playoff berth — also received 12 points from Brady Jones and 10 from Brody Breiner.

Chase Sarge and Haydon Felty each tallied 12 points to pace the Cardinals.

The Olympians, who led by seven points at halftime, received a team-high 18 points from Brody Schrantz, and 14 from Cole Lazorick.

Marian-Tamaqua

Tamaqua swept Marian in Schuylkill League action.

The Raiders boys posted an 84-51 win, while the girls gained a 102-47 victory.

Brandon Temarantz (200 and 500 freestyle) and Savannah Wilson (200 IM, 500 freestyle) both had multiple wins for Tamaqua.

Marian’s Lydia Strucko also had a pair of wins, including a pool record of 59.85 in the 100 butterfly. Strucko, who also took the 50 freestyle, broke her own record which she just set on Saturday.

The Colts also received two individual wins from Michael Strucko (100 butterfly, 100 breaststroke).
