Tamaqua-Lehighton
Lehighton’s Joe Roth scored a game-high 29 points, including the 1,000th of his career to help the Indians topple Tamaqua, 69-58, in non-league action.
Roth tallied eight in the first quarter as the Tribe gained an early 21-11 start.
Cole Dietz added 16 for the winners, who snapped a three-game losing streak, while Caden Meek chipped in with nine. Cooper Ansbach topped the Blue Raiders with 26 points, and Noah Mateyak finished with 20.

Pleasant Valley-Bangor
Pleasant Valley evened its record by edging Bangor, 60-58, in non-league play.
Zach Prator and JJ Moore both scored a game-high 18 points for the Bears, who used a big 21-11 third quarter to gain a sizable lead before hanging on for the win.
PV also received 11 points from Sebastian Sacci, while Mike Bucher paced the Slaters with 14.

GIRLS BASKETBALL
Tamaqua-Lehighton
Mille Black registered a double-double to help Tamaqua gain a 52-36 non-league victory over Lehighton.
Black tallied a game-high 16 points and pulled down 11 rebounds for the Blue Raiders, who took control with a 17-8 third quarter.
Lauren Ligenza added 11 points for the winners, while Kolbe Robb finished with nine points and eight steals.
The Indians received a team-high 13 points from both Leah Uyvari and Emma Repsher.

Aubrey LaBar and Avery Nelson each recorded 14 points to help Bangor best winless Pleasant Valley, 53-20, in a non-league matchup.
The Slaters, who won their fourth straight to clinch a district playoff berth, had a commanding 39-8 lead at halftime.
Amaya Fuentes had a team-high 14 points for the Bears.

Marian-Tamaqua
The Tamaqua girls defeated Marian, while the boys competition ended in a tie in Schuylkill League action.
The Raider girls posted an 82-54 win, while the boys ended deadlocked at 54-54.
Tamaqua’s Savannah Wilson (100 breaststroke, 500 freestyle) recorded a pair of wins, while Marian’s Lydia Strucko (200 IM, 100 butterfly) and Zoe Katona (100 freestyle, 200 freestyle) both notched a pair of victories.
Strucko also broke a Tamaqua pool record in the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:01.06.
In boys action, Michael Strucko (200 freestyle, 100 butterfly) and Andrew Metters (100 freestyle, 50 freestyle) each touched the wall first in two events for Marian.
