A shop that specializes in name brand shoes for the entire family appears as if it will become the newest tenant at a Carbon County shopping venue.

Signs posted on a window at a space inside the Carbon Plaza Mall at 1241 Blakeslee Blvd Dr. E. Lehighton state that “Coming Soon ... the SHOE DEPT.

“We are looking for talented individuals to join our energetic sales team here at the SHOE DEPT,” the sign states.

The sign also states they offer:

The business would be located next to longtime tenant Pizza Como USA.

Contacted Thursday morning, Victor Kelly, executive vice president of Larken Associates, which owns the Carbon Plaza Mall, wouldn’t confirm the Shoe Department will become the plaza’s newest tenant.

“Working on a lease with these guys,” Kelly said. “We hope that everything holds together, there’s contingencies.”
