State police at Frackville

State police at the Frackville barracks reported the following crashes:

• Rachel R. Scheitrum, 21, of New Ringgold, had minor injuries after a two-vehicle crash at 3:13 a.m. Dec. 27 on Interstate 81 in Foster Township.

Police said she did not require a medical transport from the scene.

They said the crash occurred as she was driving a 2016 GMC Sierra northbound when it entered the right lane of travel and struck a 2023 International Harvester operated by Francis J. Conway, 55, of Dunmore.

Police said the Sierra sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.

Scheitrum was cited after the crash, police said.

• Priscilla V. Amaya, 22, of Mahanoy City, was uninjured in a two-vehicle crash at 3:10 p.m. Jan. 4 on Valley Road in Walker Township.

Police said she was driving a 2007 Ford Explorer that struck a parked 2018 Toyota Tundra. Police said Amaya left the scene, but was later identified and admitted to the crash, police said.

She was cited for failure to give immediate notice of an accident to police.

• James R. Clifford, 40, of Lehighton, was cited after at one-vehicle crash at 6:35 a.m. Jan. 4 on the Clamtown Road, East Brunswick Township. He was uninjured in the incident.

Police said he was driving a 2014 Mercedes-Benz southbound when a deer entered the roadway from the east side of the road. Police said he swerved to avoid striking the deer. The vehicle traveled off the road and hit a tree. It then traveled back across the highway and hit a guide rail.

Police said the Mercedes was towed from the scene.
