State Rep. Gary Day, R-187, took the oath of office Tuesday to begin his term in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. Day was elected in November to serve a two-year term representing the 187th Legislative District.
“I am deeply humbled and incredibly grateful for the opportunity to serve the residents of the 187th District. It is an honor to represent such a hardworking community,” Day said. “I look forward to working alongside my colleagues to create positive change and strengthen the future of Pennsylvania, while ensuring that the families of the Lehigh Valley continue to thrive and prosper.”
Day had represented the 187th District from 2008 to 2022. During his tenure, he built a conservative voting record and passed key legislation benefiting homeowners and military personnel. Now back in office, Day said he is committed to addressing the priorities of his constituents, including promoting economic growth, combating inflation, ensuring children’s safety in schools and protecting the freedoms of residents.
The 187th Legislative District in Lehigh County includes Macungie and Alburtis boroughs, and the townships of Upper Macungie (in part), Lower Macungie, Weisenberg, Lynn, Heidelberg and Washington.
