The Secretary of Commerce and Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority board chairman, John K. Taylor, announced the presentation of a check for $80,000 to the Carbon-Schuylkill Industrial Development Corporation for a project that will create an estimated 60 new jobs.
The funds will be used for land acquisition and renovation in a relocation from out-of-state to be leased to the Silberline Manufacturing Company of Lansford, which produces aluminum pigments for the paint and plastics industries.
The new project will cover 29,987 square feet on a seven-acre site and will result in an estimated annual payroll of $300,000.
Silberline began operations in Lansford in 1962.
