Banks Twp. retains Nice as chairman

William Nice Jr. was re-elected chairman of the Banks Township board of supervisors at their annual reorganization meeting this week.

Supervisor Rick Porpiglia was re-elected vice chairman, and Supervisor Charles Schalles was renamed township secretary/treasurer, as well as the township’s Right to Know officer.

The Slusser Law Firm was reappointed township solicitor, and all three supervisors will act as roadmasters.

Andrew Ray was renamed zoning officer, Michael Nagy code enforcement officer, and Robert Leshko fire chief. The township emergency management coordinator post is vacant.

Arro Engineering was appointed township engineer, and Brior Environmental Services as township sewage officer. Joseph Clark was appointed to the township vacancy board.

The supervisors will continue to hold monthly meetings on the second Monday of the month at 6 p,m. at the township building at 1 East Maple Street in Tresckow.
