State police at the Bethlehem barracks reported they were called to perform a welfare check at a property on North Loop Road, Washington Township, at 11:18 a.m. Dec. 23.

Police forced their way into the residence and found a 57-year-old Slatington man deceased in his bedroom.

They said the man’s death was due to natural causes and that no suspicious activity was observed.
