Lehighton’s Cole Dietz set a new school record for three-pointers during a victory over Moravian Academy on Monday.

In other action, both the Northwestern boys and girls posted wins.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Moravian Ac.-Lehighton

Cole Dietz set a Lehighton record for career three-pointers as the Indians rolled to a 63-35 Colonial League victory over Moravian Academy.

Dietz hit six threes against the Lions to give him 164 all-time, breaking the old mark of 163 which was held by Jordan Knappenberger.

Both Dietz and Joe Roth finished with 21 points for the winners, who jumped out to a 15-point lead after the first quarter.

Moravian received a team-high 12 points from Sam Joseph.

Northwestern-Wilson

Four Northwestern players reached double-digit scoring as the Tigers rebounded from their first league loss by rolling past Wilson 68-47 in Colonial League action.

Mason Bollinger and Gavin Nelson both tallied 15 points for the winners, while Shane Marth added 14 and Eli Zimmerman contributed 12.

Northwestern broke open the game with a 16-5 third quarter.

For the Warriors, Lafayette Acree scored a game-high 20 points.

Bangor pulled away from Jim Thorpe in the second half en route to a 52-37 Colonial League victory.

Jason Cruciani scored a game-high 16 points for the Slaters, who led by only five points at the break.

The Olympians received a team-high 14 points from Pierce Gothard, while Aaron Curran and Cole Lazorick both added nine.

Notre Dame remained undefeated in Colonial League play after holding off Palmerton for a 67-55 victory.

Isaiah Miles poured in a game-high 25 points for the Crusaders, who opened up a 14-point halftime lead.

Corey Serfass led the Blue Bombers with 13 points, while Logan Anthony was close behind with 12. Palmerton also received nine points from Brady Reph.

Northwestern pushed its winning streak to 12 games, as the Tigers ran away from Wilson for a 55-35 Colonial League victory.

Cara Thomas netted nine of her game-high 19 points in the opening quarter, as the Tigers outscored the Warriors 19-3. Northwestern’s Brook Balliet also hit for eight of her 10 points in the first period.

Natalie Conner added 12 points for the Tigers, who remained undefeated in league play.

Juliana Bonham topped Wilson with 14 points.

The Crusaders’ Emily Lessig netted a game-high 16 points, while Ella Schweitzer finished with nine.

Courtney Connell paced three Blue Bombers in double figures with a team-high 12 points. Ella Baumgardt added 11, while Cate Morgan ended with 10.

Nelson poured in 14 points during the first half, as the Slaters took a 32-22 halftime lead. The visitors then used a big second half to pull away for the win.

Brianna Snisky paced the Olympians with a team-high eight points.

For the Lions, Luna Lopez tallied a team-high 11 points.
