Richard D. Edwards, Lansford business executive, was re-elected chairman of the Carbon County Recreation Authority when the board met for the first time this year at the courthouse in Jim Thorpe.

Edwards will be joined in leading the authority by Lewis A. Ginder, Lehighton, vice chairman, and Dr. Albert H. Vermillion, Summit Hill, treasurer.

Other members of the authority are Attorney George A. Shutack of Lehighton and Harold Richards of Jim Thorpe.

Reappointed by the board were Joseph L. Boyle, Jim Thorpe; Attorney Carl A. Niehoff, Lehighton, solicitor; Agnes McCartney, Lansford, coordinator; Kaye Sharpe, Lansford, assistant coordinator; and Lester Unterberger, consultant.
