New adviser joins Lehighton Thrivent services
A local financial services organization has expanded its team.
Thrivent Financial, at 625 Interchange Road, Lehighton, held a ribbon-cutting ceremony recently in conjunction with the Carbon Chamber & Economic Development Corp.
The event was held to welcome Daryl Brown, financial adviser, to the Susan Lovejoy team in Lehighton. Brown grew up in Jim Thorpe and now lives in Albrightsville.
Before Thrivent, Brown supported his wife’s career in the United States Air Force, relocating to Oklahoma, New Mexico and Kansas, where he worked in the financial sector in various areas including banking and mortgage lending.
“Joining Thrivent as a financial adviser is a fitting opportunity at this point in my life,” Brown said. “While I enjoyed our time out west, I am excited to grow my career back home.”
Brown explained why he opted to make the move to the Susan Lovejoy team.
“Having the opportunity to work with a tenured financial adviser who not only wants to grow her business but support my career growth is a blessing,” he said. “After several conversations, Sue and I felt this was a great opportunity for both of us. Our personalities work well together, and we share the same vision for serving our clients.”
Brown said he’s confident he made the right decision.
“I am excited for the opportunity to grow my career where I call home,” he said. “Having the support of Thrivent and Sue Lovejoy is an opportunity I couldn’t pass up. It is important to me to join a company that prioritizes its clients’ values within financial services.”
Brown said his background in finance “stems from the different experiences I had in personal banking, bank management and mortgage lending. This enables me to have well-rounded conversations with our clients.
“Having relocated as often as we did, I am adaptable and can work through change,” he said. “This has served me well in financial planning and advising clients on their evolving financial goals.”
Brown added: “My primary goal is to meet new people and establish a network of friends and colleagues that share similar values, goals and ambitions as I do. First, I am looking forward to helping people. Everyone has unique financial goals and concerns. Being able to educate and help people get from point A to point B to effectively achieve their goals or help put concerns to rest is what makes this career so rewarding. Second, I am a lifelong learner. I am looking forward to learning from Sue Lovejoy and our Thrivent team, and am excited to grow my business in my first year.”
Brown earned a master’s degree in finance with a concentration in investments from Southern New Hampshire University.
