The Diligence Fire Company No. 1 of Summit Hill held its reorganizational meeting last night in the fire company headquarters on Ludlow Street.

John Markey was elected president; Gordon Henninger, vice president; Gary Evans, recording secretary; George Davis, treasurer; Jackie Stoudt, financial secretary; and John Pisklak, Oliver Nothstein and Robert Rex, trustees.

In voting on line officers, Markey was named fire chief; Davis, first assistant chief; Francis Boyle, second assistant chief; Oliver Nothstein, foreman; Evans, chief engineer; Stoudt, assistant engineer; and Thomas Nothstein, service truck.

The firemen elected Markey, Henry Hontz and Pisklak to be delegates to the Carbon County Firemen’s Association.
