Attorney Patrick Best launched his candidacy for judge in the Monroe County Court of Common Pleas.
A partner at area law firm ARM Lawyers, Best has a diverse practice that includes consumer protection and governmental law. Voters are set to elect two judges due to the retirements of President Judge Margherita Patti-Worthington and the Judge Arthur L. Zulick.
In addition to his private practice, Best serves the public in several capacities. Monroe County Controller Erik Diemer and Sheriff Nick Cirranello named Best their solicitor upon taking office.
In 2024, Monroe County District Attorney Mike Mancuso appointed Best as a special assistant district attorney to prosecute consumer protection violations on behalf of the commonwealth.
Best is set to serve as the vice president of the Monroe County Bar Association and served for almost 10 years as a hearing officer in the Court of Common Pleas at the appointment of Patti-Worthington.
“This election comes at a critical time for Monroe County,” said attorney Victoria Strunk. “We need a judge who needs no training and is ready on day one. I have witnessed Patrick Best’s hard work and commitment to the community for over 14 years. Join me in supporting Patrick for Court of Common Pleas.”
The primary election is May 20.
Best resides with his wife, Register of Wills & Recorder of Deeds Kate Best, and four children in Stroud Township.
