Weissport Borough Council approved the following:

• Taxes level on 2025 budget. The budget is in the amount of $196,504.54 in income, $191,481.67 in expenses, with a net income of $5,022.87 for the year.

The current rates is 13.9 mills.

• Council voted to direct Mike Muffley, the borough’s engineer, to prepare the bid package for the 2025 Street Improvement Project.

“The road project’s base bid is for repairs to White Street from Forge to Mill Streets, estimated to cost around $100,000,” Muffley said. “An added bid for an additional block of White Street from Park to Forge would be around $25,000, based on my estimates.

• Council voted to spend up to $100 to purchase purple paint, which will be used to mark property owned by the Borough of Weissport as no trespassing.

• Two boxes of stamped envelopes will be purchased at a cost of $430 per box. One box will be used for garbage bills; the other box will be used to mail tax bills.
