State police at Lehighton

State police at the Lehighton barracks reported the following incidents:

• Police said a 58-year-old Kunkletown woman reported her 0.28-carat diamond valued at $800 was either lost or stolen.

She told police it was last seen on Oct. 24 and was noticed missing around 7:30 p.m. Dec. 23. Police said that a canvass of the neighborhood was conducted, with negative results.

• A 27-year-old man from Kresgeville was cited for a dog law violation after an incident at 5 p.m. Dec. 22.

Police said a 42-year-old man from Kresgeville arrived at their barracks to report a dog bite, telling police it was the second time he had been bitten by the same dog, which the owner told police is not vaccinated.
