State police at the Frackville barracks reported the following incidents:

• A 35-year-old man from Middleport was cited for harassment and violation of a Protection From Abuse court order after police were called to an incident at 4:41 p.m. Dec. 19 on Washington Street in Middleport.

Police said the man assaulted a 35-year-old woman from Middleport, resulting in his arraignment.

• Jeffrey Whitley, 41, of New Philadelphia, is facing Dog Law violations after police were called to an incident at 11:13 a.m. Dec. 23 on Valley Street in New Philadelphia.

Police said a 27-year-old man from New Philadelphia reported a German shepherd owned by Whitley escaped Whitley’s property and bit the man on the left arm. It was later determined that the dog was not licensed or vaccinated, police said.
