Schuylkill County is updating its planning, zoning and GIS mapping fees for the first time since 2015.

Meeting Christmas Eve, the commissioners voted to update all fees effective Jan. 1.

Any application or request submitted before Jan. 1 will continue to be assessed based on the 2024 fee schedule.

The commissioners also voted to revise the employee identification badge policy.

The revision is meant to provide clarity in the policy’s language that each employee should use their own identification badge, and that no one may copy their badge.

The intention is to provide the needed access to the appropriate people, and preserve the integrity of the county’s security system. The policy was initiated by the county’s Human Resources Office.
