Fraudulent tags found on speeding vehicle

State police at the Pocono barracks reported the following incident:

Police are investigating an incident whereby a vehicle they stopped on the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike had expired and fraudulent annual and emission inspection stickers on it.

They stopped the driver of the 2016 Toyota at 688 Interstate 476 at 8:08 a.m. Dec. 25 for traveling 105 mph in a 70 mph zone in Washington Township, after which time they found the inspection violations.

The victims in the incident are a Lancaster resident and a Franklin auto body shop.
