State police at Bethlehem - crashes

State police at the Bethlehem barracks reported the following crashes:

• Skyler M. Hancock, 24, of New Tripoli, was cited after a one-vehicle crash at 1:50 p.m. Nov. 22 on Route 309 in North Whitehall Township. He was uninjured in the incident.

Police said he was driving a 2006 Toyota RAV4 eastbound when he failed to negotiate a left-hand turn. The vehicle left the roadway and entered a field on the south side of the road, striking a tree.

• Gerhard B. Kumfert, 82, of Walnutport, was uninjured in a one-vehicle crash at 2:42 p.m. Dec. 25 on Route 22 in Hanover Township.

Police said he was driving a 2019 Nissan Rogue eastbound when he failed to negotiate a right curve and the car exited the road and struck a concrete barrier. It was towed from the scene.

Police said Kumfert was issued a warning.

• Police investigated a hit-and-run crash at 9:03 p.m. Dec. 23 on the Bake Oven Road in Heidelberg Township.

They said a vehicle traveling south left the east side of the road and struck several street signs before the driver left the scene in an unknown direction of travel.
