State police at the Fogelsville barracks announced DUI checkpoints will be held on various roads in Lehigh County from 10 p.m. Jan. 10 to 3 a.m. Jan. 11.
Police said troopers will stop vehicles at selected locations to observed drivers for articulable facts and/or behaviors normally associated with alcohol or drug-impaired drivers.
The goal is to reduce the number of alcohol and drug-related fatal and serious crashes and to reduce the number of DUI drivers on state highways, police said.
