St. Peter’s - West Penn

The Sunday worship service at St. Peter’s Church in West Penn Township will be held at 9 a.m. followed by Sunday school at 10:15 a.m.

The Jan. 5 10 a.m. service will have the Sacrament of Holy Communion.

Tamaqua Seniors

The Tamaqua Senior Citizens met on Dec. 19 with 30 members present. The invocation, “Look for Me” was recited.

President Jean Machamer gave each member a Christmas house with money or candy inside. One member won a Christmas package that was chanced off. Two members were welcomed back.

The group thanks all members who contribute food and items and more, and who help to make the club a success.

There will be brown bag lunches until March.

The next meeting will be Jan. 9 weather permitting. The group meets at 1 p.m. at the Coaldale Complex.
