Carbon County sentencings

The following individuals were recently in November by Common Pleas Judge Steven R. Serfass in Carbon County Court:

Chelsea Rose Hartigan, 33, of Hazle Township, was ordered to spend one year in the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program and render 50 hours of community service for charges including a first offense driving under the influence.

Drew Allen Moulthrop, 37, of Palmerton, was sentenced to one year of probation and 50 hours of community service for a charge of defiant trespass. Moulthrop is also prohibited from the property at 330 Coal St. in Lehighton.

Malakhi Tower, 19, of Lehighton, was ordered to spend two years in the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program following charges including defiant trespass and disorderly conduct.

Damon Shumway, 21, of Lehighton, was sentenced to six months on probation and 25 hours of community service after pleading guilty to use/possession of drug paraphernalia.

Brian Scherer, 56, was sentenced to two years on probation and 100 hours of community service after pleading guilty to obstructing the administration of law.

David Kudla, 44, of Effort, was sentenced to six months to two years minus one day in prison, 100 hours of community service, and a $500 fine after pleading guilty to evading arrest and driving with a suspended license.
