Palmerton Borough Council took the following action last week:

• Accepted a Department of Environmental Protection 902 grant in the amount of $200,000 for funds toward a tub grinder. The tub grinder is used to chew up leaves and branches.

• Agreed to advertise a police vehicle for sale on Municibid.

• Recognized borough employees Joel George (15 years), Ronnie George (10 years), Thomas Smith (10 years), David Washburn (10 years), Brian White (10 years) and Frank Haas (five years) for their years of service.

• Adopted the 2025 salary schedule.
